Cancellation Policy<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

You have up to 48 hours before your appointment to cancel or change it free of charge, otherwise we may take up to the full charge from the credit card on file. Cancellation can be done online or by phone at 514-271-7515. This policy applies to all Massage Therapy, Esthetics, Float Bath, NeuroSpa and Psio services.

\n<\/strong>Reservations are done by phone, online or in person. All our services and packages are offered by reservation only.<\/p>\n

You will need a valid credit card number to book an appointment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why is my credit card number needed to book an appointment at Spa Ovarium?<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a common practice in the spa and hotel industries.\u00a0 It helps to protect us in the event of last-minute cancellations as well unexcused missed appointments.\u00a0 Please note that your credit card number is stored in your personal file within a secure web portal.\u00a0 For your convenience, your credit card information may be kept in your file and used for the reservation of future appointments.\u00a0 At any time, you may ask that this information be deleted from your file.<\/p>\n

Prices are subject to change without notice. All advertised prices are before tax.<\/p>\n

The day of your appointment
\n<\/strong>We suggest that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time. As a courtesy to all of our customers, the duration of your appointment(s) will be reduced if you arrive late. You will still however, be charged for the full appointment.<\/p>\n

Maintaining a Peaceful Environment
\n<\/strong><\/strong>In order to respect Spa Ovarium’s calm and peaceful atmosphere, we ask that you shut off your cell phones and other electronic devices and speak in hushed tones at all times while visiting Spa Ovarium.<\/p>\n

Alcohol and drugs <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The consumption of alcohol is not recommended before and during treatment. The consumption of drugs before and during treatment is prohibited.<\/span><\/p>\n

Security
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

We cannot be responsible for valuable items that are left behind in the treatment rooms.<\/p>\n

Treatments and Services for Children<\/strong><\/p>\n

We welcome children aged 8 at Spa Ovarium. Nevertheless, it is recommended that parents use their judgment regarding their child\u2019s maturity when booking our services.<\/p>\n

All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult.<\/p>\n

PSiO and NeuroSpa <\/span><\/p>\n

The minimum age to attend a PSiO and NeuroSpa session is 8 years old.<\/p>\n

Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must remain in the room during the session.<\/p>\n

Massage Therapy and Facial Treatments<\/span><\/p>\n

The minimum age for massage and facial treatment appointments is 8 years old.<\/p>\n

Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must remain in the room during the session (ou: appointment).\u00a0 The health assessment form must also be signed by a parent or guardian.<\/p>\n

Floatation therapy<\/span><\/p>\n

The minimum age for floatation therapy appointments is 11 years old.<\/p>\n

Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian who must remain in the room during the session.<\/p>\n

Floatation baths are not recommended for girls who have not reached menarche for reasons involving the pH of the vagina.<\/p>\n

Pregnant Women<\/strong><\/p>\n

Women who are less than 14 weeks pregnant must sign a release form prior to receiving a prenatal massage.<\/p>\n

Medical Restrictions<\/strong><\/p>\n

When making a reservation, please let us know if you have any medical conditions.\u00a0 If you suffer from major allergies or a medical condition that could influence your choice of treatments, we recommend that you seek medical advice prior to visiting us.<\/p>\n

Massage\u00a0:<\/span><\/p>\n

Vaccination<\/p>\n

You must wait 48 hours after any vaccination before you receive a massage as side effects such as nausea, fever and stiffness\u00a0may occur during that time period.<\/p>\n

Fever<\/p>\n

Massage may worsen a fever.<\/p>\n

Extreme Inflammation<\/p>\n

Massage is not recommended if you are experiencing extreme inflammation as it\u00a0may make your condition worse. It is preferable to wait until the inflammation has diminished before having a massage.<\/p>\n

How do you know if you are suffering from inflammation? Inflammation is the result of a recent trauma (wound). The affected area will be red and hot, and could be swollen as well.<\/p>\n

Phlebitis<\/p>\n

Phlebitis is due to the formation of clots in the venous network, most commonly of the lower extremities. Massage is not recommended because it could dislodge a clot and cause more serious problems.<\/p>\n

PSiO:<\/span><\/p>\n

Epilepsy<\/p>\n

People suffering of epilepsy should not use the\u00a0PSiO treatment because its flashing lights could potentially trigger an epileptic seizure.<\/p>\n

NeuroSpa:<\/span><\/p>\n

Pregnant Women<\/p>\n

The NeuroSpa isn’t recommended for pregnant women because the foetus can feel the deep vibrations. No scientific proof supports that the NeuroSpa could be dangerous for the foetus, but Spa Ovarium prefers not to take any risks with regards to the security of your child.<\/p>\n
